TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT
MISSION STATEMENT:
To promote sustainable
growth and the livability of Orlando by developing transportation
systems integrated with land use patterns that offer residents and
visitors travel choices and convenient access to goods, services, jobs,
schools, recreation and civic involvement.
To manage the City's
efforts to provide safe, efficient and balanced movement of people,
vehicles, goods, pedestrians, and bicyclists through the permitting,
design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the City's
transportation infrastructure.
To provide clean,
safe, affordable, accessible parking in the Downtown Central Business
District.
Bike to Work 2009
Bike to Work with Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer on May 22 in support of
reducing our impact on the environment.
