As a division of the Office of
Business & Financial Services, Real
Estate Management acquires properties, manages and leases real
estate for City purposes, disposes of surplus City property and
maintains real property records for the City. The Real Estate
Division negotiates real estate transactions for all City
departments for acquisition, exchange, dedication, and/or donation
of property. These transactions might include such needs and uses as
parks and recreation, public facilities, fire and police stations,
parking, housing developments, public works and transportation needs
including right-of-ways, reclaimed water, easements, encroachments,
leases, licenses and facility use agreements.
MISSION STATEMENT
To utilize corporate approaches to professionally
and responsibly acquire, dispose, lease and manage real property
utilizing private sector strategies and tools through negotiation,
where possible.
