Ana L. Cruz -
Aide
to Commissioner Tony Ortiz
Ana
was born and raised in Caguas, Puerto Rico.
She decided to move to New Jersey
after Quest Corporation, the electronic manufacturer company
where she was working as Secretary to the President, closed its’
doors in 1989.
Ana
graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio
Piedras Campus, with a Bachelors Degree in
Secretarial Sciences.
She
worked for the New Brunswick Adult Learning Center from 1989
until 1990 as a Teacher’s Assistant and joined INROADS, Inc. in
June of 1990.
She worked for INROADS, Inc. in
different capacities such as Administrative Assistant to Office
Manager to Client Manager, until August of 2008 when she
accepted the position of Aide to City of Orlando Commissioner
Tony Ortiz.
An
active member of the City of Orlando Citizens for Neighborhood
Watch program since 2000; an alumna; Class of 2003 of the City
of Orlando Citizens Police Academy and an alumna; Class of 2007
of the Mayor’s Academy.
She served as President of the Pine
Ridge South Homeowners Association from 2000 to 2005.
Ana has been a servant of her
community for many years.
Giving back to the community and
helping others are some of Ana’s main goals.
Ana
has been the recipient of the following awards: “Excellence
Award from the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital –
Community Health Promotion Program,” New Brunswick, New Jersey;
“City of Orlando Citizens for Neighborhood Watch, District 2;
Block Captain of the Year Award” in 2001 and 2005 and was a 2003
INROADS Employee of the Year nominee.
Ana is the proud mother of a 12 year-old
daughter.
