Commissioner Sheehan Opposes the
Closure of Community Schools

Commissioner Patty Sheehan stands firm in her opposition to the closure and/or merger of any community school, especially those schools in District 4.  The commissioner attended the OCPS public hearing on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, and voiced her stance to the School Board Members.

Commissioner Sheehan encourages District 4 residents and parents who are concerned about the closure of these schools to attend these very important public hearings and meeting.  Most, if not all, will be held at the School Board Meeting Room, Educational Leadership Center, 445 West Amelia Street in Orlando.

Please plan on attending the Orange County School Board meetings if you are concerned about the closure or merger of schools that will affect our district and your neighborhood.  More importantly, if these closures will impact your child's school and education, attending these meetings is very crucial.
