Summit. Commissioner Lynum will serve as keynote speaker during

Commissioner Lynum joins a coalition of women for Broadband
Policy Deployment, Adoption and Usage Application for unserved
and underserved communities during the National Organization of
Black Elected Legislative Women (NOBEL) Conference in Chicago.
They will form a coalition for Broadband. Some of District 5's
access channels include the Jackson Community Center, the
NorthWest Community Center, Rock Lake Community Center and
Hi-Tech Tutoring Center.

Education Fund for their 38th Annual Conference. The theme of
the conference is "A More Perfect Union Targeted Stimulus - The
Key to Reconstruction". Commissioner Lynum will serve as a
panelist on Urban Stimulus at a Town Hall Meeting on Sunday,

Commissioner Lynum joins the Mississippi Black Caucus of Local
Elected Officials during their 2009 Summer Conference in Biloxi,
Mississippi. Commissioner Lynum will be the keynote
speaker during their luncheon on Monday, July 13, 2009. The
theme of the conference is "Effective Leadership: A Requirement
-- Not an Option."
July 22-26, 2009
Commissioner Lynum will travel to Hartford, Connecticut for the
National Black Caucus of Local Elected Officials Annual Summer
Conference. As President of the NBC-LEO, Commissioner Lynum will
preside over several meetings as
conference attendees explore issues and discuss their leadership
responsibilities in local government. This will also be a time
to spend together as "NBC-LEO family" and exchange ideas and
develop strategies to help their hometowns.
