Pathway for HousingThe City’s Housing Community Development Department has worked to increase safe, sanitary and affordable owner-occupied housing through new construction, substantial rehabilitation and homeownership assistance. To date, this has been accomplished with an investment of more than $10 million resulting in a total of 34 new and rehabilitated homes with 271 new housing units in the near future through the Carver Park and Wells Landing Developments. Home Ownership Through the City of Orlando’s Housing and Community Development Department there are a variety of programs to increase and preserve homeownership through financial assistance, alternative design standards, low-interest loans, reduced fees and homebuyer counseling.
