MAYOR TO JOIN OPD FOR MOUNTED PATROL WORK-ALONG

WHO: ORLANDO MAYOR BUDDY DYER WHAT: CITY OF ORLANDO MOUNTED PATROL WORK-ALONG WHEN: THURSDAY, JUNE 5, 2003 7 A.M. WHERE: 221 S. RIO GRANDE AVE. START DOWNTOWN CORRIDOR END ORLANDO, FL (June 4, 2003) – Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer Thursday from 7 to 9:30 a.m. will participate in a workday with Orlando Police Department’s Mounted Patrol Unit. Mayor Dyer will join the unit at the stables and then ride horseback on “Reliable” during a patrol of the city’s downtown corridor. 7 a.m. Stables – clock in, groom horses and review assignments for the day 7:45 a.m. Load up horses for commute to patrol area and Church Street watering trough 8:15-9:30 a.m. Saddle up for downtown patrol detail 8:45 a.m. Horse watering stop in Thornton Park Maryalicia Johnson will attend the work-along and will be able to assist with pinpointing the Mayor’s location during the event.
