A HEALTH CHECK

ORLANDO, FL (December 2, 2003) –Mayor Buddy Dyer Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. will participate in a Senior Health Check workday with the City of Orlando Fire Department at Hillcrest/Hampton House.

Mayor Dyer will work alongside the paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) of the Orlando Fire Department to provide life-saving healthcare checks of blood pressure, glucose, prescriptions and medical updates to senior citizens on fixed incomes. The Health Check program, which serves 800-1000 seniors per month, has a history of diagnosing the onset of life-threatening health problems.
