ORLANDO, FL (August 16, 2005) – On Wednesday, August 17, 2005, at 10:30 a.m., the Orlando City Council will participate in a Special City Council meeting and decide whether to adopt the recommendations of the Special Master regarding the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) contract.

The Special City Council meeting will allow 30 minutes each for FOP and the City to present their position, including any individual speakers. After the Council votes and reaches a decision, the contract will go for ratification by both parties.

The Special City Council meeting will be televised on Orange TV, on August 22nd and 24th.
