MAYOR BUDDY DYER AND HIS VETERANS
ADVISORY COUNCIL RECOGNIZE
U.S. MILITARY IN HONOR OF NATIONAL POW-MIA DAY
WHAT: As part of national POW-MIA Day,
Mayor Buddy Dyer and his Veterans Advisory Council will host an official POW-MIA
ceremony to honor those United States Military prisoners of war and those still
missing in action. The UCF Air Force ROTC – Arnold Air Society will lead a
symbolic “setting of the table” where each item on the table represents the
commitment we have to remembering our POW-MIAs from our five military branches:
Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard.
Additionally, a unique display from the National Vietnam War Museum will be
unveiled for showcase and remain in the City Hall rotunda until Friday,
September 23, 2005. The display includes picture boards exhibiting the
development of the Vietnam War Museum, and a POW-MIA tapestry.
