Mayor Buddy Dyer and U.S. Senator Bob
Graham put on waders and joined a 10-member City of Orlando work
crew to plant pickerelweed and giant bullrush in Lake Orlando.

The plants contribute to the lake’s
health by absorbing harmful nutrients and breaking wave action that
contributes to lake bank erosion. The plants also provide safe
habitat for small fish and animals, and they attract larger fish
that live on the fringe areas and provide improved fishing
opportunities.
