Volunteer Program

Screening

Application process:

• Prospective volunteer expresses an interest in the program and requests an application.

• Application Materials are mailed.

• Completed volunteer application is returned to the volunteer program office.

Screening Process:

• Background check is performed

• If cleared, interview with Volunteer Coordinator or assignment to area of interest.

• Applicant is notified of status.

• Citizen Observer Program Applicants must also successfully pass a Driver Physical and Psychological Exam.

Placement Process:

• Volunteer is notified of starting date and supervisor’s name and phone number.

• Volunteer will report to the supervisor on their first day. A Volunteer Work agreement is signed by the volunteer and supervisor.

• Volunteer turns in timesheets to record hours.
