Lelia  W. Allen, Director

Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to visit our site. I hope you find the information on our website to be of assistance to your needs.

Lelia W. Allen, Director of Housing, began her career with the City of Orlando in 1990 as a Planner in the Planning Department. Lelia worked in several other capacities before being appointed in June 2003 by Mayor Buddy Dyer to her current position.

Ms. Allen holds a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Business and Economics and a Masters Degree in Economics from Virginia State University. Ms. Allen also attended the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University for Senior Executives in State and Local Government.

The mission of the Housing Department is to 
maintain a sustainable, livable, safe community 
for very low, low and moderate income persons.
