HISTORIC WALKING TOURS OF DOWNTOWN

Free guided walking tours of Downtown Orlando's Historic District will be available starting Friday, October 9, 2009 at 9:30 AM. Tours will be led by Richard Forbes, Historic Preservation Officer for the City of Orlando, on the first Friday of every other month thereafter.

The tours begin at the Downtown Information Center (201 S. Orange Ave.) and will include historic landmarks such as the Old Orlando Railroad Depot (76 W. Church St.), Kress Building (15 W.Church St.), First National Bank (190 S. Orange Ave.), Angebilt Hotel (37 N. Orange Ave.), US Post Office & Courthouse (46 E. Robinson St.) and the Old Orange County Courthouse (65 E. Central Blvd.) among other sights.
