Traffic Operations Manager

Minimum Starting Salary: $44,894 per year
Grade: NB111
NATURE OF WORK:

Performs administrative and supervisory work with responsibility for managing and coordinating activities of traffic control. Prepares budgets for Traffic Operations. Trains and supervises the maintenance and installation of signal equipment. Sets goals for and manages the traffic signal maintenance program and traffic signal contract projects. Prepares work orders and purchase orders and reviews invoices.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor degree in transportation engineering plus two years experience in transportation engineering, some of which must have been in traffic studies, signalization, signing, and pavement marking; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Significant supervisory experience preferred. Additional experience managing transportation programs and personnel desired. Knowledge of local government procurement, budgeting, and financial management procedures helpful. Florida driver license required.

DRIVER LICENSE MUST BE PRESENTED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT.
