Human Relations Technician

Minimum Starting Salary: $15.03 per hour
Grade: S17
NATURE OF WORK:

Technical and administrative support work related to employment and housing discrimination; handling routine inquiries and screening; assisting with analyzing and resolving routine complaints; processing cases and entering data into computer system according to EEOC and HUD requirements; assisting with research, case preparation, and mediation; assisting with special events such as outreach programs. Provides a variety of administrative support duties and provides lead direction to other administrative support staff members.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Associate degree and three years administrative / technical experience handling employment and housing discrimination claims, preferably for a local or state government or agency; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specialized training in EEOC and HUD discrimination law and procedures preferred. Training and/or certification as court mediator desired.
